In the 1980s, I became convinced that an interoperable electronic medical record system would bring as great benefits to healthcare as would a single revolutionary cure or medication. During that same time, I began to recognize the potential value of mobile devices and apps in healthcare. This section includes conferences and publications based on this thinking.
Digital Society
I have done major research on the digital society and its effect on school systems, the role of individuals, and the influence of AI., specifically regarding privacy, data protection, and the information society.
Futurist Thinking
My lectures and publications on the digital society and the information society have focused on my belief that a new era is approaching. My work in the last decade has posed the question of whether this new era could be a major step toward a new and compelling age of enlightenment.
